I may point out that the British Army and Government have examined and re-examined Bloody Sunday - and will probably do so again - in numerous attempts to find what really happened. They released the Birmingham Six, despite their suspect connections, because there was reasonable doubt
The RoI government, on the other hand, has sat on its hands, whistling at the ceiling, while terrorists live their lives openly in their country. They have demanded the unconditional release of convicted mass-murderers. They continue to deny British authorities the right to even interview known terrorists regarding the Birmingham pub bombings.
I am, and have always been, in favour of a United Ireland. But the actions of the Provisional IRA, and their support and enabling by a majority of Irish people resident in England were and are inexcusable.
