I find it odd that in Alan Moore's Miracleman comics, the alien Qys, who all possess 'body wardrobes' and refer to their various bodies as 'garments', nonetheless maintain a clear gender distinction. This is true for them even when, as in the comics, a male Qys 'wears' the body of a human woman (and complains that his garment is 'undergoing cyclic blood-loss', which is uncomfortable and affects his ability to do his job). Admittedly, one of their pastimes is to experience sex in as many forms as possible, but it always seems to be hetero. But the ruler of the Qys is "Hir Majesty the Kingqueen" ('hir' isn't a typo, but the word Moore uses) who is an ever-growing organic mass incoporating numerous partial forms. I would have thought that Moore might have been a bit more adventurous with his creations' sexuality?
