I do like Harryhausens' style, especially the design of the creatures, which gives each one its own distinct look and 'personality'. But I prefer the Arabian Nights tales to the Greek Myth ones, if only because as a child, I had any of those myths read to me, and read others for myself later. I'm the kind of person who gets annoyed when these stories are mucked about with, and it spoils the fims for me. I understand how and why it happens, but it stll irks. (I still get riled about the constant excision of the Old Forest/Tom Bombadil/Barrowdowns sequence from LOTR adaptations - mostly because it completely removes an important plot element.)
