I alwys wondered about Pauls' sexuality, if only because of his preference for celibacy and some of the views he expressed regarding women. He may have been asexual, or just been pandering to his largely Greek audiences' cultural norms.
Still , being who and what he was, the biggest thorn in Pauls' flesh was probably people who wouldn't pipe down and stop asking sensible questions! I was certainly the biggest thorn in our Ministers' flesh, as well as that of numerous Sunday School teachers, for precisely that reason. He never forgave me for the time that, after he told all us eager little kids that Jesus died, then rose again and was immortal, I piped up "You mean like Count Dracula did?"
