I absolutely agree with what you say - give me grafters rather than talkers any day.

But that said, why am I sensing such a lack of energy and commitment from all sides?

Are the Democrats so convinced that hatred of Trump will get them in that they aren't bothering? Or is it that they don't think they have a chance, so can't be arsed?

On the other side, is Trump simply bored and not really trying? Is he so convinced of victory he doesn't feel the need to campaign? Or is it that he has no intention of stepping down whatever the result?

I'm sorry, but this worries me. None of the above scenarios bode well for the US, and if everything does go to Hell in a handcart, it'll be us picking up the pieces because Europe cordially despises America.
