Haing spent my entire adult life researching, comparing, contrasting and deconstructing one system of belief after another, I suspect I'm in a cult of one. the rules being:

1) Never search for meaning for yourself, just be curious about what people believe and why.

2) Never accept an assertion of truth that is not a demonstrable fact.

3) Always be kind, if you can.

4) Don't be afraid to be unkind, if need be.

5) Take no shit.

6) You get more with a kind word and a two-by-four than you do with just a kind word.

7) You can't trust the French.

If you want to join my cult, you can't. Go make one of your own.
