Diversity in advertising is about ahowing different kids of people making use of/enjoying the same product. Sadly for all of us, it's cheaper for the advertisers to make a commercial featuring one interracial family than it is to make three or four showing a variety of more 'typical' families. Quite generally and understandably, most people still marry or form partnerships within their own ethnic/cultural groups and advertising should reflect this as well as the diversity of people in society. But all the advertising companies care about is avoiding litigation and doing it on the cheap. Thus they end up annoying everyone.
