Cogito ergo scribo, as far as I'm concerned. My fiction ideas go to fanfiction.net, my non-fiction and opinion pieces go here. It keeps my brain from exploding (it's not very big, so I have to unload to relieve the pressure). So money isn't an issue for me -I've got my pension and am too long in the tooth to be overly anxious about making oodles of dosh. I write because the ideas have to go somewhere, but if nobody wants to read them, no epidermis off my proboscis.
