Burning anything releases stuff into the air, and most of it isn't really good for us, The real issue is that there are too many of us, and one of the reasons for that is the constant efforts put into stopping people from dying. This has led to catastrophic collapses in the birth-rate at one end and an overload of frail elderly folk needing care at the other.
