Politics were Northern Ireland, Trade Unions, power cuts, the Winter of Discontent and eventually Thatcherism. Music was eclectic: Glam Rock, Disco, Punk, Two-Tone, New Romantic as the 70s marched into the '80s.
I tended to wear my hair long (still do). I was too hard-edged to be a hippie and too left-wing to be a yuppie.
