Being an Englishman myself, and living in Coventry, I've never noticed the Liberals being anything but a safe space for middle-class people who were too left-wing to vote Tory, but didn't want to vote Labour because it was so frightfully working-class, you know!

Just so you know, Socialists do not advocate or condone violence. That's the Communists, and that lot need locking up for their own safety. Bunch of nutters. History tells us that actual Socialism has been repeatedly attempted, especially here, but has always been sabotaged. By the rich, the landed gentry, the Israeli government who don't like the fact that many Socialists support Palestinian rights, the Americans, and of course your lot, who kept on splitting the vote and stopping Labour getting a look-in or a decent majority until Blair turned them into a Tory-lite bunch of brown-nosers! Now the bloody Greens are doing the same thing.

Yes, it is different in America. In America, they call Bernie Sanders a Socialist. But I've read up about him, what he believes and advocates, and by British standards he's a hard-right Tory.
