As soon as we start talking 'God'. giving names and characteristics, we are anthropomorphising. We are human and understand only human characteristics and concerns. Thus the attributes we assign to 'God' must ipso facto be human ones.

If a conscious Creative Principle exists, it may be like us, only more so, or it may be nothing we can remotely understand. But until we know, one way or the other, as soon as we ascribe a characteristic we recognise to 'God', we anthropomorphise.
