As I've said before, your ideas have merit. They do need, however, to begin at a local level and will require a deal of commitment from all concerned. If humans lived as they are evolved to live, in small, spatially-separated communities, it would be different. But until the pace and pressure of everyday life is somehow eased, and people have time to think of anything other than survival, they system will have a hard time taking root.
