As I have noted before, I admire your ideas, not least because they chime with many of mine. Especially with regard to political parties, their attached ideologies, and the professional politicians who rise effortlessly through their ranks.

Sadly, the community which is at the foundation of your project is under attack. Setting aside such issues as ethnic/cultural differences, which can be overcome with sufficient goodwill on all sides, there remains a much more insidious threat.

'Lifestyle marketing', by its very nature, needs to divide people into groups. Are you a gym-going, healthy-eating, Peloton-using, yoga-practising, electric-car-driving type? Or are you a home-and-garden, barbecue-and-dinner-giving, child-raiser with an MPV? A workaholic professional? And so on. The search for profit is defining and driving wedges between these and other lifestyle groups and making them become more and more inward-looking and self-absorbed. Is it possible, as things now stand, to pull these disparate groups out of their cocoons and get them to act together?

Short of full-scale catastrophe, possibly not!
