Are you nit-picking for the sake of it, or are you really asking this?

It is entirely possible to know what a thing is, what it looks like, without requiring someone else to define it for you. I am 64 years old, and for the last four decades I have conscientiously read the manifestos of every UK political party involved in every General Election we have had. As well as this I have read historical manifestos of various kinds.

From this, I can see that a manifesto is a document laying out a number of principles to which the party or person is committed, accompanied by proposed actions or policies designed to put those principles into operation. There is no requirement that the principles be sound and rational, or that the proposals be realistic or practical.

Now it is true that a number of mass-murderers and serial killers have left behind documents endeavouring to justify or at least explain their actions. Some of these have been long works, closely if falsely reasoned and often lucid, though based on false premises or outright delusion.

Something as basic as Jack the Rippers' "I am down on whores and I shant quit ripping them till I do get buckled." , or as long-winded and unreadable as Hitlers' Mein Kampf tick all the boxes.

The disjointed, limited ramblings of the extract provided by the Author do not tick any of them.

Definition by knowledge and experience - my own knowledge and experience. This is not a schloarly article or debate, but a platform for views and opinions, therefore I am under no obligation to search out and apply 'official' definitions, even if one more accurate and reasonable than my own can be found.
