Are the woke White people you speak pf challenging these microaggressions themselves? Because I often wonder what these oh-so-enthusiastic 'Allies' are actually doing?

As a lifelong Trade Unionist, I've spent about 40 of my 60-odd years fighting all kinds of injustice and unfairness - not just racial but the entire gamut - on a case-by-case basis. Because it was something I could do, and because it was the right thing to do. Yes, sometimes it's exhausting. Sometimes you have to rest a little to fight the better.

But there's always some more shit going on, isn't there? Sometimes you just have to harden your heart, close your eyes and ears and trust someone else to carry the burden for a while. It's hard to remember you're not alone, but you aren't. There are others out there in the same fight, and they can handle things while you rest up.
