Another couple of thoughts. Tolkiens' Orcs are evil because to him they represented the crude, broken, urban-industrial working class, rather than the clean-minded, clean-living rural workers - Hobbits. Certain Hobbits (Ted Sandyman) adopt Orcish manners during Sharkeys' domination of the hire, but we never see what the Orcs might become without Sauron.

I'm starting work on a police procedural set in 21st Century (Fourth Age) Osgiliath which will feature an Orcish Desk Sergeant and an Uruk-Hai ME as well as a Hobbit IT specialist. Just my little bit to try and set things straight LOL. Any suggestions?
