As everyone knows, I am gentle soul who seldom gets riled up, apart from a tendency to mild sarcasm. But every so often, I get a trifle miffed with people whingeing and moaning about various things. I also get irritated with folk who pontificate and lecture about assorted events and issues, prescribing solutions that make far too many incorrect assumptions and misundestandings of what is actually happening!

At this point, I vent. Let us begin.

President-Elect Donald Trump

So he got elected again, and people are crying into their skinny latte about it. Why? How could you possibly be surprised?

Americas’ cultural icons are John Wayne, Mickey Mouse and Ronald MacDonald. Americas’ idea of a good cop is Dirty Harry Callahan. Americas’ famed authors are Mark Twain (racist and paedophile), Norman Mailer (thug and exponent of toxic masculinity) and Ernest Hemingway (who spent his whole life hiding his introversion behind booze and macho bragging). Americans make folk-heroes out of career criminals, thugs and murderers like Jesse James, William Bonney, John Dillinger and Al Capone. Their version of Romeo and Juliet is Bonnie and Clyde.
