An agnostic is someone who says they don't know whether or not God exists. This is one of the more pathetic manifestations of Pascals' Wager. "If I don't deny God, but just say I'm not usre, I might get away with a stint in Purgatory rather than going straight to Hell!" Or merely a typical middle-class way of avoiding going to Church without offending the Vicar!

Whatever the First Cause might or might not be, sentient or insentient, intelligent or mindless, it is not God in any way we could or would understsand the term. The concept of God, however much you try to refine it, is still anthropomorphic. The attempt to impose human feelings, thoughts, values and morals on that which has none of them.

Agnosticism is a vague anti-statement, an avoidance of the issue, or just fuzzy thinking from somebody who hasn't done the heavy lifting. You and I have both done the heavy lifting - we've come to different conclusions, but at least we've both sweated for it!
