America keeps forgetting two of the important rules:

1) Never get involved in a land war in Asia.

2) Never get involved in another countrys' internal disputes - both sides end up hating you, as well as your own people.

Mind, we Brits keep ignoring Rule 2. If we hadn't Ireland would be united.
