Advocating for atheism or against religion is a pointless exercise. Energy should be spent in advocating against the real harms to people caused by belief systems (religious, political or economic) which operate in an unbalanced fashion, either by accident or design. One need not advocate for the banning or suppression of a sexist religion, but one should urge the members thereof to alter or amend their rules in line with modern thinking.
